SALIENT FEATURES OF THE ACADEMIC REGULATIONS:

• A PASS in ALL CREDIT COURSES and three NON-CREDIT MANDATORY COURSES is COMPULSORY for the award of the degree.

• Subject-wise Attendance requirements:

• Attendance grade is displayed in the Marks Memo

• A student is required to put up a minimum of 75% attendance in each course to avoid detention in the cours

• If a student is detained in one/two courses, he/she has to re-register for those courses in the subsequent semesters

• If a student is detained in more than two courses in a semester, he/she shall be detained and shall repeat the entire semester in the next academic year

• Credit based Promotions:

• A student has to secure a minimum of 70% of the credits from I and II year to be promoted to III year

• A student has to secure a minimum of 70% of the credits from I, II, and III year to be promoted to IV year

• Participation in Social service:

• Participation in Social Service for a minimum of 32 hours is compulsory for the award of degree

• Participation in Extra / Co-curricular activities like sports, cultural and literary activities for a minimum of 32 hours is compulsory for the award of the degree

FEE STRUCTURE:

Every year Tuition fee Rs 76,900/- plus Special and other fee as per norms.

Fee for NRI/ NRI sponsored $5000 per annum.

ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE:

On an average 85% students get graduated every year, out of which 75% achieve Ist class with Distinction. The branch-wise pass percentage of 2010-2014 batch is: Civil- 76.98%, Chemical- 83.61%, CSE-  88.32%, ECE- 92.91%, EEE- 89.86%, IT- 79.59%, Mechanical - 88.57%

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Gayatri College Cultural Club (GC3): This club showcases the inherent cultural and literary talents of the students. Monthly programs are being organized by the club to give chance to all the students. Our students have won number of prizes at National level in literary and cultural activities organized by institutions of high repute.

Students  Self  Groups:  Students  also  help  the deprived  through  donations  in  cash  and  kind  through Voluntary clubs like Rotaract, WeR4 Help and YES (Youth Enlighting Society).

 

  

NSS activities: blood donation, tree plantation, eco-health and adult education drives in the surrounding rural areas. Our NSS wing have adopted nearby villages to show social concern for the people. Our NSS wing has adjudged the best under JNTU K, Kakinada.

 

Sports facilities: cricket, lawn tennis, basket ball, volley ball and shuttle badminton as outdoor games and multi gym and table tennis, chess and caroms as indoor facility. The students won number of prizes and overall championships by participating in various sports and games at Universityand National level.
