
Brief about GVPCE
The Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering [GVPCE] had its humble beginning in December 1996 with 4 branches and 200 intake established under the parent society 'Gayatri Vidya Parishad'(GVP), a non-profitable organization comprising of noted educationists and eminent philanthropists who have a missionary zeal to provide quality technical education. From that point on, the college has very quickly established itself as one of the most-preferred self-financing engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh offering 11 B.Tech. Programs, 5 M.Tech. and one MCA Program approved by AICTE with an intake of 1380. The college is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam from 2022-23. (affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada up to 2021-22)

Institution
- Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering (EAPCET CODE: GVPE) is a preferred Institution for students from all corners of Andhra Pradesh. It houses GVP-Scientific & Industrial Research Centre (GVP-SIRC) recognized as SIRO by DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI.
- The Institution was recognized with the "Best Engineering College Award-2023" (sponsored by Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Anantapur) by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) AP Section
- Established the GVP-Prof. V. Lakshmikantham Institute of Advanced Studies (GVP-LIAS) in 2007 which is the offspring of Late Prof. Lakshmikantham's (Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology, Founder of the International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts, IFNA) vision for a research institute that encompasses a broad spectrum of areas and works in collaboration with Department of Mathematics in particular and other Engineering Departments in general.
- Among 245 members of faculty, 130 hold Ph.Ds. Further, our own faculty are Research Supervisors whose guidance led to the award of Ph.D. for 29 scholars. In addition, more than 156 scholars have been pursuing Ph.D. under their guidance.
- One among the 4 self-financing institutions in Andhra Pradesh selected by MHRD under TEQIP- II, S.C.1.2 to receive a grant of Rs. 5 Cr. for upgrading the quality of PG education, research and innovation.
- Facilitating delivery of lectures by Subject Experts from different departments on Emerging Trends through Media Resource Centre.
Infrastructure
- Institution exists in an area of 20 acres with a total built up area of 50,000 m2, the College is laden with lush greenery sight aiding to the ambience of learning and research. The centrally located well groomed garden is a cynosure for all eyes.
- An AICTE-IDEA Lab is being established with a total cost of Rs. 90 lakhs (AICTE - Rs. 30 lakhs, GVPCE - Rs.30 lakhs & Industry- Rs.30 lakhs).
- Established 7 Specialized Labs costing Rs. 2 Crores in collaboration with AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and SIEMENS for imparting varied skill development trainings to students and faculty in addition to the department specific Labs.
- Entered into 50 MoUs with Industry & Institutions in India and abroad for enhancing academic & Research pursuits
- Resourceful Library equipped with around 88440 books (Print), 6208 (e-books), 2298 online International Journals and 123 National Journals (Print). In addition, it provides access to students & faculty for online open learning resources on emerging technologies
- Playfields extending in an area of 6.5 acres for games and sports.
R & D
- Funding to a tune of Rs. 1355.51 Lakhs secured for R&D projects from Govt. of India Agencies viz. AICTE, DST.
- Consultancy projects executed to a tune of Rs. 640.035 lakhs
- Support for Faculty career development through QIPs, Incentives for Paper / Book Publications etc.
Ongoing R&D Activity
- Dr. Birendra Biswal, Professor, Department of ECE & Dean, R&D received a grant of Rs.50.49 Lakhs from DST-SERB under Core Research Grant for the project "A novel hardware embedded multivariate feature enabled health monitoring system for early diagnosis of Glaucoma"
- Dr. B. Keerthi Priya, Asst. Professor, Department of ECE, received a grant of Rs.46.00 Lakhs from DST SEED Division for the project "Enhancing Sustainable Livelihood in Rural Areas by Empowering Tribal Women through Bamboo Fusion using Emerging 3D Printing Technology for Crafts"
- MSME BI of the college received grants from MSME so far, for 5 ideas with a total project cost of Rs.53.30 lakhs.
Students
- Proven track record of placements on an average of 800+ students over past three years with a highest pay package of Rs.50.00 lakhs.
- Students admitted to reputed institutes within and outside the country for higher studies.
